  • Journal Club is held each week at the VA

    • JAAD +JAMA Journal review and discussion. Topics of discussion cover a wide variety of dermatologic conditions of interest to the resident.

    • Q+A, Faculty lecture

    • Discussion is led by Christopher Reardon, M.D.,PhD. Faculty are encouraged to attend.

  • “Virtual” Grand Rounds/Grand Rounds

    • Resident presentations on topics of interest, and case presentations with clinical pearls from Dr. Kessler.

  • Dermatopathology Sign-out

    • Dermatopathologists review histopathology slides with Residents with emphasis on recognizing cutaneous pathology. This offers an opportunity for clinico-histopathologic correlation and continuity of care, some slides being reviewed are specimens that the Resident has obtained thru biopsy and/or excision.

    • Dermatopathologists review teaching slides correlating with chapter reviewed in dermatopathology textbook by Dirk Elston and Tammie Ferringer.
